  1. In his defense, he would have won as would Joe Bidden, Maggie Hassan, Tim Cain or any number of other people. Hell, even Bernie might have been able to pull it off.

  2. WCE — Excellent piece, highlighting how the news media has let me down in factual reporting.

    Why Trump won.

Well, maybe not the only reason Trump won, but it does explain a lot.
  3. The liberal fretting about Breitbart has led me to dip in there on a regular basis, which has been useful as the mainstream media continues to disappoint in its knee-jerk reaction to Trump’s cabinet picks. Exhibit A is Jeff Sessions, whom the usual suspects described as “racist” because of the 1986 judicial nomination controversy. Breitbart reporters went back and read the 500+ page hearing transcript and reached a different conclusion. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/12/28/dissecting-slander-the-untold-story-of-jeff-sessions-1986-borking/

  4. Scarlett, I’ve also started checking Breitbart based on their newfound notoriety. The only thing I remember about them before was that they were the first media source i read to report that the “Jackie” UVA rape was a crock of shit.

  5. The loonies are really coming out of the woodwork.

“Leftist bullying has its latest poster-child in Georgetown professor Christine Fair. Fair decided that an op-ed written by Asra Nomani explaining why she voted for Donald Trump was grounds to relentlessly attack Nomani, a former colleague of Fair’s, on social media — not just calling her names and impugning her character, but even calling into question her religion and status as a human being.

Perhaps this might qualify as one of the elusive anti-Muslim hate crimes?
